🏆 The Road to the 2027 Canada Winter Games

The 2026 Ontario Summer Games serve as the first official selection opportunity for Team Ontario ahead of the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Quebec City.

  • Direct Qualification: The winners of the U18 Boys (U18B) and U18 Girls (U18G) categories will automatically earn a spot on the team representing Ontario at the 2027 Canada Winter Games.
  • Mandatory Attendance for Athletes: For athletes seeking a second or third opportunity for selection—including those competing in independent selection tournaments or tracking via the Ontario Ranking List (ORL)—participation in these Games is mandatory.

📣 Notice to Clubs, Coaches & HPCs

The Ontario Table Tennis Association (OTTA) will provide professional oversight to ensure a high-performance environment for all participants.

  • Coaches and Managers: OTTA will provide 16 total positions (Coaches and Managers), with a preference for equal gender representation (8 male, 8 female) to support our athletes.
  • HPC: Status of the HPC assumes providing qualified coaches and managers at Ontario Summer Games, Canada Winter Games and Canadian Championships (if selected)
  • Spot Allocation: The distribution of staff spots will be coordinated based on the number of qualified athletes from each club.
  • Eligibility & Supervision: Managers will be specifically appointed for supervision and safeguarding duties.
