Cindy Zhu, a ten-year-old member of Three 10 TTC, took home the bronze medal at her first continental championships. By defeating Angel He in Round 16 across five games. Cindy has only prevented US only semi-finals. Cindy also defeated Marian Urbano (Columbia) 3:1 in the 32nd round and Valentina Flores (Ecuador) 3:0 in the quarterfinals.
Abigali Yu received the gold medal after defeating Anagha Kasichainula in the championship match. Tiana Piyadasa holds the second bronze medal.
