The venue will be open for practice on Friday May 26th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (four tables)

Training Camp:

Following the official events, TTCAN will organize a 3-day training camp (May 29-31) at the same venue.
Coaches: John Macpherson and Dejan Papic.
Schedule: 9:00-11:30 and 13:00-15:30 on Monday and Tuesday, 9:00-12:00 on Wednesday.
All National Team players will receive full support for accommodation. Up to 4 players out of GTA area will receive 50% support for accommodation in official hotel.

* Events are subject to change and may be combined based on number of entries & temporary classifications of
new players (Friday at 5 pm at MyTTC).
**To be selected to international events, including Major Games and the 2023 Pan American Games, players must
have participated in the most recent National Championships held prior to the selection.
***The results of these Championships count for the Canadian rating system. Players must have an active
Canadian rating
to be considered for National Team Activities. New players will obtain a Rating after the
Championships’ results are processed.

Classification

Players that are not officially classified by the Para ITTF department may receive a temporary classification, which
will be issued by John MacPherson, member of the ParaTT Advisory Group, at My Table Tennis Club Mississauga
on Friday at 5:00 PM.

Entry Eligibility

All players must be members in good standing of their respective Provincial/Territorial Table Tennis Association.
Players must be in good standing with TTCAN. Players are considered not in good standing if they have unpaid
invoices to TTCAN. All debts must be paid by May 10th, 2023. Payments can be made by e-mail transfer to:

All participants must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents. Proof is required for new players.

Competition Format

Singles:

  • Stage 1: Full Round Robin where possible.
  • Stage2: Knock-out if more than 8 entries in any one class

Team: Round Robin

All matches will be best 3 of 5.

The Referee and the TTCAN Technical Director have the right to modify any format based on the number of
entries.

Seeding List

Players will be seeded according to the last available Canadian Ranking. Players who do not have a Canadian
Ranking will be ranked at the discretion of the Referee and the representative of the TTCAN ParaTT Advisory Group.

Equipment

– Tables: Double Fish
– Balls: 729 (if arrived from China on time), in not Butterfly 40A+

Prizes

Medals for top 3 men and top 2 women in each event. Also to all players in top 3 teams.

Accommodation & Transportation

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Airport West.

Price $190 paid to TTCAN.

TTCAN will provide support to all athletes with transportation (hotel-venue) out of GYTA staying at the official hotel.

$50 per player

Tentative Schedule

– The Jury Meeting is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Friday May 26, 2022, at the playing venue: MyTTC.
Individual Events begin at 9:00 am Saturday May 27th and conclude same day.
Team Events begin 9:00 am Sunday May 28 and conclude same day.
Detailed schedules to be published on the TTCAN website not later than May 24th..
Award Ceremony will follow the conclusion of the Team Event portion on Sunday May 26th.

TTCAN Financial Contribution

Financial contribution towards the airfare to Toronto will be provided by TTCAN to the current National Team list
as it appears on the TTCAN website: https://ttcanada.ca/para-table-tennis-team-list/ for players from out-of-
province. Players will be informed directly.
National Team players from Ontario, who reside more than 50km from Mississauga, may receive a “mileage”
subsidy based on the TTCAN reimbursement rates.
Additional financial assistance to players who are not national team members will be provided for the accommodation of the players who decide to stay at the training camp (May 29-31). Only players leaving outside of GTA are eligible for support.
