Prize Money
Prize money will be awarded only to athletes attending Award Ceremony.
We had established minimum participation levels for the additional prize money dedicated to women and girls:
- Class A: 14 female players entered; minimum was 20
- U15 Girls: 11 players entered; minimum was 25
Although these participation targets were not reached, we do not want to cancel the additional support for female athletes.
Instead, the prize funds will be adjusted as follows:
- Class A female prize fund – 67% of the originally allocated amount
- U15 Girls prize fund – 50% of the originally allocated amount
The remaining funds will be used to support the Ontario team in its preparation for the Canada Winter Games.
We believe this approach continues to recognize and reward the women and girls competing at this event while ensuring that all funds originally dedicated to female sport remain invested in the development of Ontario’s female athletes.
We look forward to a very strong competition and wish all athletes the best of luck!
