Coaching Selection Principles and Requirements
In alignment with our commitment to transparency and merit-based leadership, coaching staff for each specific team are selected based on the composition of the athlete roster:
- Club Representation: The High-Performance Center (HPC) with the highest number of athletes on a specific team roster is granted the privilege of nominating the coach.
- Performance Tie-Break: In the event of an equal number of athletes from different centers, the nomination goes to the HPC whose athlete achieved a higher final standing at the Ontario Championships.
- Eligibility Standards: Nominated clubs must submit coaches’ names by June 5. Coaches has to be certified and Safe Sport-compliant.
- Final Endorsement: All appointments remain subject to final review and authorization by the OTTA to ensure strict adherence to provincial standards of leadership and athlete safety.
