TO: Players who are NOT Senior National Team members
Players who are NOT Senior National team players are invited to participate in the Olympic Qualification tournament (Trials) to be held on 29-30 March 2024 in St. Leonard, Quebec (Montreal) as follows:
- Men: Minimum rating of 2200
- Women: Minimum rating of 1600
- 1 Man and 1 Woman nominated by each Provincial/Territorial association regardless of Rating level
- This is a self-funded event for all players who are NOT Senior National Team members.
- Qualifiers to the Olympic Games plus alternates will be reimbursed their travel only (Men: Top 2, Women: Top 3).
- All costs are the responsibility of each player entered in the Trials.
ENTRY FORM
- Players who wish to enter the Trials must complete the Entry Form (Players Entry Form) and send by e-mail attachment to: marles@ttcanada.ca
ENTRY FEE
- The entry fee is $200 per player. Please pay by e-mail transfer to: melanie@ttcanada.ca
- Indicate the name of the player in the e-mail transfer.
- The Top 2 men and Top 3 women will be reimbursed their entry fee
QUALIFICATION
- The winner of the Men’s event will be nominated directly to the Canadian Olympic Team as the 3rd member of the team (Eugene Wang and Edward Ly are already qualified).
- The top 2 from the Women’s event will be entered in the Pan American Olympic Qualification (singles) to be held in Lima, Peru, on 14-18 May 2024.
- Cost of Travel, Hotel and Meals are your own responsibility.
