Ontario Table Tennis is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity to host the prestigious WTT Youth Contender Mississauga! This international event is a monumental step for table tennis in our province, bringing world-class competition directly to our doorstep. Our primary motivation for organizing such a high-caliber event in Ontario is multi-faceted:
- it provides an unparalleled platform for our talented young athletes to compete against international peers without the significant financial burden of overseas travel, thereby
- boosting our High-Performance Program and
- saving considerable funds for athletes, coaches, families, and High-Performance Centers.
Furthermore, by hosting a World Table Tennis (WTT) sanctioned event, Ontario Table Tennis commits to meeting the stringent organizational standards set by WTT, which in turn will significantly elevate our operational capacities, expertise, and reputation on the global stage. A successful and well-organized event will also significantly boost our chances of securing the opportunity to host more international table tennis events in the coming years.
