Ontario Table Tennis (OTT) is excited to announce new initiatives aimed at enhancing High-Performance programming and athlete development. Starting in 2025, the OTT will host an annual weekend event that combines a High-Performance Invitational Tournament (ON2), a High-Performance Invitational Training Camp, and the Annual Awards Ceremony.
The first annual event will be held at My Table Tennis Club in Mississauga (2436 Haines Road Mississauga, L4Y 1Y6) on March 29-30, 2025. This event will provide a platform for top Ontario athletes to train together, compete against high-level competition, and celebrate the achievements of the past year. All HP players and coaches from HP clubs are welcome to attend!
To capture the excitement and camaraderie of this event, the OTT will hire a professional photographer. A photo session will be organized for all participants on Sunday, March 30th.
Ottawa HP Centers:
The two High-Performance Centers in Ottawa (Geng Table Tennis Academy and Ottawa Table Tennis Club) are welcome to join the Mississauga event or organize their own HP Invitational events:
- Geng Table Tennis Academy: Can host an HP Invitational Tournament (information about eventual tournament availability in Ottawa will be published not later than February 10th).
- Ottawa Table Tennis Club: will inform the OTT if Ottawa Regional Championships will be organized not later than February 10th.
These Ottawa-based events must be organized before March 30th, 2025.
In addition to these events, the OTT will organize mandatory training camps for athletes selected to represent Ontario at the Canadian Championships and the World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender Mississauga. Dates for these training camps will be announced in April.
