The Ontrio table tennis team has won the 2023 Canada Winter Games.
Every athlete in every sport receives flag points based on performance and participation, which are subsequently combined for a regional or territorial total. Quebec and Ontario were tied for first place until the last day of table tennis competition. Quebec has dominated the boys’ competitions and defeated Ontario in an exciting mixed doubles final. The Ontario girls were undeniably the best, while the lads finished slightly behind the Quebecers.
Martin Simeon from Quebec, who won four gold medals, and Jessie Xu, who won three gold and one silver medal, were the most successful athletes.
Jessie, Demi, Kevin, and Jordan – well done!
Congratulations to Betty Zareba, team manager, and coach Hongtao Chen.!
