2025 Canadian Para Championships
September 27-28

Historically, the Canadian Para Championships included both classified and unclassified athletes. This year, we’re introducing three distinct
participant categories, with dedicated events for each group.

    Para athletes (classfied)

      These athletes have been oficially classified. Classification will be available before the championships for those who need it.

      Schedule and Events
      Saturday, September 27th

      • Start Time: 9:00 AM
      • Events: Single events for Seated Classes (1-5) and Standing Classes (6-11).
      • Gender Events: If two or more female athletes register, separate men’s and women’s events will be held. To provide more matches, women may also be included in men’s events.

      Eligibility: All players must be members in good standing of their respective Provincial/Territorial Table Association.

      Prizes Medals for top 3 men and top 3 women in each event
      Entry Fees $60

      Unclassified Athletes with Disabilities

      We believe everyone should have a chance to compete. We warmly welcome all athletes with disabilities, including those with intellectual disabilities or mild cognitive impairment, even if they do not have an official ITTF Para Classification.

      • Events and format: to be determined based on number of entries
      • Special evcent for care givers!

      Prizes Medals for top 3 men and top 3 women in each event

      Integration with Able-bodied athletes

      On Sunday, September 28th, able-bodied athletes will compete alongside para-athletes. Organizers will aim to ensure an equal number of able-bodied athletes with similar skill levels are included.

      Sunday, September 28th

      • Start Time: 9:00 AM
      • End Time: No later than 1:00 PM
      • Registration: All classified para athletes and those pursuing classification will be automatically registered for this event.
      • The goal of this tournament is to create a more competitive and inclusive experience for everyone. We will achieve this by:
        • Providing challenging matches: Our schedule is designed to ensure close and competitive matches for all participants.
        • Varying opponents: Athletes will not play the same opponent on consecutive days, creating a more dynamic tournament experience.
        • Fostering integration: The event promotes collaboration and mutual respect between athletes with disabilities and able-bodied athletes

      TTCAN Support:

      • Discounted hospitality (accommodation and transportation)
      • Financial contribution toward the airfare to Toronto will be provided to the current National Team listed players as it appears at https://ttcanada.ca/para-table-tennis-team-list/ for players form out-of-province. Players will be informed directly and support will be based on the athletes activities (international and national).
